Golden Hour: The Perfect Time for Stunning Couple Photos

One of my absolute favourite times of the day to capture beautiful shots is during golden hour. It’s that magical hour right before the sun sets, when everything is bathed in a warm, golden light. When Beth & Holly got in touch to arrange their summer engagement shoot, I knew Curbar Edge was the perfect opportunity for a sunset session.

We were incredibly lucky that day, as Mother Nature didn’t disappoint. The golden haze was abundant, creating a dreamy atmosphere. The air was warm and still, making us feel like we were in a world of our own. It was the ideal setting to capture their incredible love in relaxed portraits.

To make the moment even more special and fun we brought along some fizz to celebrate with. Beth & Holly were pros at popping the bottle spraying it on top of the world. They then sat together and watched the sunset with a glass in hand. It was truly magical to capture it.

When it comes to engagement sessions, my goal is to create a memorable experience for the couples. I want them to feel at ease, especially since being in front of the camera can often be intimidating. With my relaxed approach and the stunning backdrop of the Peak District, I strive to capture love in a natural and authentic way.
