Every now and then a wedding venue really knocks your crocs off. Left Bank in Leeds did just that.
The architecture, the high ceiling, the stained glass, the open split level space, the flexibility, the festoon lights, the urban cool vibe. This wedding venue left me a bit speechless when I entered for Kate & Rich’s wedding.
Wedding Photography at Left Bank, Leeds
Situated a short drive from Leeds City Centre Left Bank sits pretty unassuming on Cardigan Road but inside is where the magic is! The building used to be a church and is now home to a range of creative and community events in the Leeds area.
Second Shooting with my fave photographer pal Laura Adams we spent the morning at Quebecs Hotel for Groom & Bridal Prep, then headed over to Left Bank for all the good times you can fit in a beautiful Grade II* listed former church.
The Best Wedding Venue in Leeds: Left Bank
Kate & Rich had already legally tied the knot down in London at a Town hall and it was now time to celebrate with family and friends.
Instead of just jumping into the reception, they kicked thing off with a celebrant led ceremony, my first one and I was in awe of how personal and beautiful it was. There were tears of joy, cries of laughter and it really painted a picture of their gorgeous relationship to each other and their friends and family.
The sun shone for their drinks reception and so everyone spilled out on to the lawn at the front of the building for a sh*t tonne of confetti (hand picked and dried no less) canapés and Prosecco!
Meanwhile inside, the banqueting tables were set up and all the gorgeous wild flowers for the ceremony were repurposed for the dining tables. It looked incredible.
The evening saw the pizza, the best brass band I’ve witnessed, serious dance moves and just the best feel good vibe. So much so, we stayed later just to capture the JOY!
Cheers Left bank for being so awesome and cheers Kate & Rich for having me along.
Ok, enough gushing, shall I just get on with the photos? Roll Camera….
