I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Hannah and Matt’s beautiful wedding at the newly restored Sudbury Gasworks in September 2023. They were the very first couple to tie the knot at this historic venue, and it was an honour to document their love story in such a unique setting.

Hannah and Matt were a dream to work with—super relaxed and down-to-earth. Their goal was simple: to have an unforgettable celebration with their closest friends and family. The vibe of the day was easygoing, with a focus on having fun rather than following formal traditions. They traded a sit-down meal for a laid-back feast of pizza and Prosecco, creating the perfect party atmosphere that truly reflected their personalities.

Sudbury Gasworks: Newly Restored Industrial Wedding Venue

Sudbury Gasworks, originally built in 1874 by renowned architect George Devey, recently underwent a meticulous restoration after years of disrepair. The venue’s transformation was nothing short of breathtaking, and Hannah and Matt’s wedding was the first to grace its newly revived charm. The centrepiece of the venue is its circular gas holder, a striking space that served as the heart of the celebration. The couple adorned the area with hues of blue and fresh, delicate flowers, creating a romantic yet modern feel.
