Welcome to Shining Cliff Woods, the chosen location for Kate & Curt’s engagement session. Kate fancied a woodland backdrop for their photo session and Shining Cliff Woods did not disappoint. This location offers so much for than the treelined paths. With the urban outbuildings, graffitied walls and bluebells if you time it right, you get this awesome of mix of urban and woodland that suited the K&C perfectly.

Despite the inevitable rain (thanks, British weather!), my trusty clear umbrella saved the day and added a touch of magic to their photos. The raindrops on the umbrella with a cheeky kiss – such a beautiful moment captured!

Engagement shoots are not only a great practice run for the big day, but they also give us a chance to get to know each other better. It really does make a difference and adds a fun element to the couples wedding planning. I’m really looking forward to their wedding at Royle Forest Weddings, a stunning tipi woodland venue that is the epitome of magic.

When do the bluebells bloom at Shining Cliff Woods?

We wanted to time our shoot for the bluebells at shining cliff wood. The gorgeous purple carpet they create when in full bloom is nothing short of magic. I think we were little early bit they were there to capture a few shots n the background. This shoot was at the end of April (23rd) and I think another week or so there would have been even more.

After the shoot, we enjoyed a pint at the Hurt Arms, chatting about life, love, and all things weddings.
