Advice + Planning

Eh up! Here’s a selection of questions I’ve been asked recently to help you understand my approach and how I work. I’m an open book and always available to chat if you don’t find the answer you’re looking for after a good old scroll.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in the Peak District. Typically I cover Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire & Staffordshire but will travel for LOVE!

Can we meet in person?

I would love nothing more than to do this but I do all my initial chats via zoom to save time and the planet, unless you’re super local. If you did fancy meeting up though, an engagement session is the perfect chance and included with my full day package.

Do you support LGBTQIA+

A million times YES! No matter how you identify and regardless of your orientation, age, ethnicity, ability… I’d love to be a part of your day. Love is love and I’m 100% here for it!

Do you photograph elopements?

HELL YEAH! If you and your partner are thinking of skipping the fuss and running off to do a private ceremony with just the two of you or a handful of your nearest and dearest, I’d be absolutely honoured to document your intimate ceremony. A half day package or hourly rate might work best but please get in touch and let’s talk!

How many photos will we receive?

Based on a full day wedding, you’ll receive around 500-800 photos, depending on how many hours we shoot and how jam-packed your wedding day is.

How long will it take to receive our photos?

Firstly, I’ll send you a handful of sneak peek shots a couple of days after your wedding so you can shout it from the rooftops that YOU’RE MARRIED! 6 to 8 weeks later, you’ll receive a link to your online gallery to relive your wedding day. Shortly after you’ll also receive a beautiful print bundle of joy and a little thank you from me.

Can we have the RAW files?

Ever so sorry but this is something I don’t do. I take thousands of photos on a wedding day and pride myself in delivering the best final product. No one need see the blurry, blinky photos, you’ll get the very best.

Do we have to have a second shooter?

It’s totally up to you but if you’re having a larger wedding of 90+ guests I would highly recommend it. Also if you do want to have both sides of the getting ready story I would recommend having a second photographer to capture it for you.

What if it rains?

WE DANCE! I get it, we would all buy dry weather if we could but I promise it doesn’t have to put a dampener on things. I’ll always have a plan B up my sleeve for portraits but if you want to embrace it, I’m up for it if you are!

Can we print our photos?

Of course, you get full personal usage rights to your images. I’d love for you to print your favourite photos and you can easily order photos prints through your online gallery or I’m happy to give recommendations.

What if you’re ill or can’t make it.

Touch wood it hasn’t happened yet and it would have to be a really bad for me not to attend. Luckily though, I have an extensive network of photographers who I trust to shoot in a similar way that I do to capture your day. You’d never go without!

Do you have any suppliers you recommend?

Yes, from years of experience in the wedding industry I have come to work with some
of the top wedding suppliers. Just drop me an email and what you have in mind, I’m sure
I will have some suggestions I can send you.

Ok, we’ve seen enough, how do we book?

Yay! Thank you so much! Queue my happy dance! In short we’ll chat on zoom and then a 25% booking fee and signed contract is needed to secure your date. Click here to see how to book.
