Some celebrations just have that extra bit of magic, and Emma & Jay’s Valentine’s Day Wedding was exactly that! These two threw tradition out the window in the best way possible—think bold colors, epic street art, and a surprise flash mob! Their day was all about fun, love, and just being themselves, and I was lucky enough to capture it all.

Valentine’s Day Wedding Bridal Outfit Inspiration

Emma wasn’t about to settle for a white wedding dress—she absolutely rocked a stunning red gown, paired with a pink faux fur coat covered in red love hearts and heart-shaped sunglasses. Talk about an iconic bridal look! Jay looked super dapper too, but let’s be honest, Emma totally stole the show. Jay said on insta “…maybe the only bride to buy a coat first then match the dress 😂👍🏻❤️”

Their whole vibe was relaxed, fun, and unapologetically them, which made the day an absolute dream to photograph.

Exploring Kelham Island & Finding New Backdrops

One of my favorite parts of the day was wandering Kelham Island with them for some relaxed portraits. Sheffield’s street art and industrial backdrops always bring such a cool edge to wedding photos, and I even found a few new favorite spots along the way. That’s what I love about this city—there’s always something fresh to discover!

And then, we jumped in a camper van and headed to Fagan’s on Broad Lane for a must-have shot in front of Pete McKee’s famous “The Snog” mural. If you’re not familiar, this mural is an absolute Sheffield gem, originally painted in 2013 and refreshed in 2024 with an updated look for the beloved couple in the artwork. It was the perfect spot for a fun, love-filled portrait.

The Mowbray: The Perfect Venue for a Valentine’s Day Wedding

After the photos, it was time to celebrate! Emma & Jay chose The Mowbray for their feast and festivities, and honestly, this venue is a dream for couples who want a stylish yet laid-back wedding. Originally a steel merchant’s building from 1889, it now blends historic charm with modern elegance—plus, their food is out of this world!

And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better…

Surprise Flash Mob to “Simply The Best”!

Emma and their guests had a little surprise up their sleeves—a flash mob performance of “Simply The Best” just for Jay! The look on his face was priceless, and it was one of those moments where you could literally feel the love in the room. Everyone was singing, dancing, and just soaking up the joy of the day.
