A Boho Inspired Wedding at Royle Forest: Fran & Rich’s Magical Day

There’s one outdoor wedding venue that makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning, and that’s Royle Forest. Nestled on the border of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, this stunning tipi venue is truly one of a kind. Having had the pleasure of capturing the first-ever wedding here, it’s been incredible to see Royle Forest go from strength to strength. The venue continues to charm couples year after year, and Fran & Rich’s wedding was no exception.

A Perfect Outdoor Venue for a Fun and Laid-back Celebration

Fran and Rich chose Royle Forest for its whimsical, laid-back vibe—perfect for their fun-filled outdoor wedding. Their day started at the Bear’s Lair, the venue’s cozy accommodation and getting-ready space. Fran looked absolutely stunning in a boho-inspired sleeved dress, with delicate braids and hair charms that I was utterly obsessed with.

Meanwhile, the groomsmen were busy with final touches around the tipis, getting everything ready for the outdoor ceremony.

The sun shone beautifully all day, making it perfect for drinks, outdoor games, and plenty of photo opportunities. We captured some fab moments around the tipi wedding setting, and I’m especially glad we made time after dinner for some relaxed photos with the wedding party. Everyone was a bit more “well-oiled” by then, and the energy was electric as we played some music and soaked in the good vibes.

Sparklers and Dancing Under the Stars

The evening ended with a packed dance floor, illuminated by a light-up floor and disco ball, not to mention F&R’s adorable cats who didn’t want to miss out on the fun! Sparklers lit up the night, wrapping up a day full of love and laughter. Lovely!
