Love Stories

Peddler Warehouse, a (pretty damn cool) wedding venue in Sheffield

Peddler Warehouse in Neepsend, Sheffield, is one of those venues that instantly sets the tone. Industrial, characterful, and full of quiet confidence, a blank (but oh so cool) canvas ready for couples to put their stamp on. On Abi & Luca’s wedding day, the space felt alive, concrete and steel softened by people, colour, music, and a whole lot of love. It was bold without being overwhelming, relaxed without ever losing energy.

Why Peddler Warehouse Works So Well for Weddings

Peddler Warehouse works so well for weddings because it gives couples freedom. Freedom to do things differently, to bring in food trucks, to lean into colour and texture, and to let the day unfold naturally. It’s also a generously sized space, making it ideal for larger guest lists without ever feeling crowded or chaotic. The industrial backdrop acts like a blank canvas, brick walls, open ceilings, and warehouse vibes all absorbing whatever atmosphere you throw at them. In Neepsend and around Kelham Island, there’s also no shortage of gritty, beautiful surroundings just outside the doors, perfect for slipping away for a breather (and some photos).

Wedding Photography at Peddler Warehouse

From a photography point of view, wedding photography at Peddler Warehouse is a a dream. The industrial textures add depth without distraction, and the fairy light wall creates magic all day and into the night. It’s the kind of venue that encourages documentary storytelling, moments happening everywhere at once, guests fully at ease, nothing feeling staged. During the drinks reception, we took a short wander around Kelham Island for some relaxed portraits, blending the urban surroundings with their effortless chemistry.

Abi & Luca: Relaxed, Romantic, Unapologetically Themselves

Abi & Luca are pure joy. Super chill, endlessly fun, and deeply connected. Their day blended Italian romance (a nod to the groom’s family roots) with a subtle gothic quirk that gave everything an edge. Nothing felt forced or overly polished. From the groom’s red suit paired with black-and-white brogues, to the rich red styling woven throughout the decor, it screamed opulence, but set against the industrial venue, it felt modern, cool, and completely them.

The (untraditional) wedding day story

The ceremony was led by family, warm and personal, with everyone feeling part of it rather than watching from the sidelines. Instead of a traditional cake, tiramisu took centre stage, indulgent, meaningful, and very Italian. Dinner was pasta from a food truck, filling the warehouse with the smell of comfort food and conversation. The energy stayed high all day, but never frantic. People laughed, hugged, wandered, danced, completely relaxed and present.

A Sheffield Wedding Photographer’s Perspective

This is exactly the kind of day my style thrives in. Relaxed, documentary, non-traditional, and story-led. Because everyone felt so at ease, I was able to capture truly candid moments, the quiet exchanges, the chaos of laughter, the in-between bits that often get missed. Peddler Warehouse, paired with A&L’s vision, allowed the story to tell itself.
