Hosted by the mighty wedding venue duo in Sheffield that is The Mowbray and it’s little sister The Chimney House, I popped along to their Open House Event to capture the day in all it’s candlelit and sun drenched glory.

I don’t know about you but there’s a few things that make for a perfect Sunday.

…and my day at The Mowbray ticked all those boxes.

Wedding Planning at The Mowbray

The team were on hand to introduce the magic of The Mowbray to couples planning their wedding day. From chats about the intimate ceremonies at The Chimney House, to cocktail receptions at The Mowbray. Fabulous feasts from the kitchen to all the stunning details and how the day will look if you were to celebrate at either of these beautiful venues.

The venue was fully dressed and looking beautiful with an eclectic mix of vintage bottles and candle sticks styled beautifully with blooms from Betty Flower Club.

The Mowbray also hosted  ‘Le Petit Marché’ where couples could come along and chat to a handpicked bunch of talented suppliers local to Sheffield. From stunning gowns from Kate Beaumont to creative wedding stationery from Georgie Marnie. There was a little something for everyone planning their wedding.

Relaxed Wedding Venues in Sheffield

I also had the pleasure of chatting to so many lovely couples who walked through those famous green curtains at The Mowbray. One thing they all had in common when I asked what they were hoping for on their wedding day was they just wanted it to be ‘relaxed’

There’s something about rather special about these two venues, they really do offer just that. You instantly feel ‘at home’ when you walk in to the The Chimney House and The Mowbray even with it’s grand high ceiling somehow has this ~magic~ that makes you feel relaxed but also ready for a party. How do you do that!? Amazing.

Wedding Photography at The Mowbray

Now, I might be biased but I’d say my style of photography and The Mowbray are perfectly suited. Relaxed, fun, fly on the (industrial brick) wall.

Picture this….

We’d start at The Chimney House for an intimate ceremony with the sunlight beaming in through the windows. After, we’ll take a stroll over to The Mowbray and stop off for some super fun couple portraits around Kelham Island on the way. We’ll be spoilt for choice with all the colourful backdrops and industrial buildings.

Then through the fabulous floor to ceiling curtains at The Mowbray your reception awaits, maybe some cocktails on the roof terrace followed by a feast with your faves.

If we’re lucky we’ll be blessed with a heavenly golden hour for some urban street portraits then off you pop back inside to tear up the dance floor for the most epic party.

Sounds Amazing… I want in!
