Stratford Upon Avon Micro Wedding

Jules & Ian had always wanted something smaller and when they got in touch about their micro wedding in Leicestershire I was over the moon to capture their day. They started the day with a small ceremony at Hinckley Registry Office and then sped off in their vintage Jag to their favourite restaurant bar.

I chatted to Jules & Ian about their Stratford Upon Avon Micro Wedding, here’s what they said…

Your Love Story

The true story… I was single, pregnant and bored one night, swiping away on bumble for amusement and stumbled across this 6’4” beard and we started talking… when he asked if I had children, I said I had one but that she was still ‘baking’. We decided to go for a drink anyway and realised about 10 mins into the evening that we went to primary school together. That made for a much more palatable story than he was a bump hunter and I was a baby daddy hunter!! 🤣

What made you choose The Baraset Barn, Stratford upon Avon as your wedding venue?

We grew up in Stratford and it’s where we took our parents to celebrate our engagement.

Describe your wedding day in 3 words…

Family, fun and Frolics.

Why did relaxed wedding photography appeal to you?

We wanted to catch the moments of the day so we could relive the memories. We aren’t huge fans of staged poses, but rather capturing the love and laughter.

Did you have a style/theme/vibe for your wedding?

Relaxed, laid back.

Any advice for future couples planning their Stratford Upon Avon Micro Wedding?

Always stick to your gut reactions and initial plans. Don’t get swept up in what other people think you should be doing or have.

Their day their way – Stratford Upon Avon Micro Wedding

There was no first dance, cutting of the cake, no schedule as such, just a bunch of loved ones celebrating in the sun with good food, good wine and good times all round.

What a privilege it is to photograph a micro wedding, I truly felt like one of the guests as I mingled and captured all the candid hugs and giggle throughout the day.

I’ll never take this job for granted. Huge congrats guys, thanks for having me along, Here’s some images from their gorgeous intimate wedding day.
